Limited Numbers Of Kerbals

This sorta popped into my head out of the blue, but I think it would be cool to have a limited amount of kerbals to use. Of course you could probably set that number based on the difficulty or turn off the option completely. This would especially be cool on ironman mode games as you have to keep every kerbal you've got safe or else game over when you run out! I think it's a cool idea.

How many people want to be astronauts and have the required credidentiales? A few thousand. Now kerbals probably don't have rigourious entry requirements. If you think about it this killed imersion.

I normally don't use a crew with more than 3-4 employees (tourists don't count). Those who are 'accidently smashed' can be replaced with the rescured ones. I don't think this could be hard. Of course, if you can have as much scientists as possible.

This actually would make rescuing mission quite valuable, as that allow you to get more kerbals to launch away.

But this way, it will become impossible runs many missions together, or build bases off-world... If you want just a limited numbers of Kerbal, is simple, don't hire them...

In career games I do not hire kerbals but just rescue them already.
