I just accidentally went to Minmus

I was going to the Mun for the first time in .15 (I got it 3 days ago), and because I\'m still not used to the new map system, I stopped the TMI right when it showed my trajectory entering the Mun\'s SOI. Unfortunately, I escaped from the Mun\'s gravity several seconds after I was captured by it, an it slinged me into a trajectory for Minmus.

So instead of a basic Mun orbit you pulled off a slingshot to the outer moon on your first go? Not bad..

If you exited the Mun\'s SOI several seconds after entering it, then you didn\'t really get slingshotted.

Kosmo\'s right. To be slingshotted, you have to actually utilize its gravity to shoot you around the body and accelerate towards Minmus. How did you exit its SOI seconds after entering it, anyway? Something fishy is going on around here...

It doesn\'t matter how long it took as long as there was no engine burn to assist, and he was going faster when he came out.

True, but when you begin a new persistence file, the trajectories of a normal escape velocity launch go right into both of those objects where it would meet.
