Game Refuses to Load Properly

It appears every time I start up the game, it loads for a while, then stops when loading textures. I've tried removing mods that it hangs on, but it just hangs on another random mod. I am using the 64 bit client on Linux Mint 17.1. I have the full list of mods installed linked in my signature (it's the blue flag).

All of my mods are up to date as far as possible (I've let out some like AIES because i'm not sure it will break crafts files.).

I don't know if this is a stock bug or if it's cause by a mod. I don't even know if there's a way I can fix it! :confused:

Any and all help is appreciated.

EDIT: Here's my KSP.log. I'd put an output.log, but I can't find it. There isn't a player.log either.\

KSP on GNU/Linux doesn't generate 'output.log', it's '~/.config/unity3d/Squad/Kerbal Space Program/

Player.log' and I assure you it's there.

As for the actual problem... It'd be easier with a proper log, but:

I see a bunch of

"NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object

FlightGlobals.get_Vessels ()

WhitecatIndustries.UI.FixedUpdate ()"

What is WhitecatIndustries? does it load if you remove it?

I see you are running KWRocketry - it's not updated for 1.0.4, do you have the patches?

I see B9 Aerospace in there, and I'm sure that's not officially updated for 1.0.4 either.

The log ends loading textures from EVE, try ditching that first?

Your "mod list" link leads to: "Invalid Blog specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator", so ??.

Other than that, there's nothing obvious in that (limited) log that I can see so you may well have to do this the hard way and remove mods a few at a time until it works.

As I've said before, I remove the mod that it hangs on (and sometimes crashes) only to have another mod prevent it from loading.

i.e., Ditched Orbital Decay, Hung on EVE; Ditched EVE, hung on B9, etc.

I have the latest DEV version of B9, and KW with a community patch.

EDIT: I just crashed loading the Asteroid Day Sentinel Flag, which is a PNG. Further investigation required...

Try starting KSP from the terminal with "LC_ALL=C ./KSP.x86_64", this can resolve some issues with cfg files.

Also try installing the fglrx driver from the Mint repository as it looks like you're using the open source driver (galluim).

It is also worth checking if an unmodded copy of KSP loads for you.

I have used a clean copy, it worked fine. It seems to be that PNGs are causing the issue...

That was in the terminal just before the game hung.

There was an issue with PNG textures a while back, but I was under the impression it was fixed...

It'd be easy enough to test though, just install ActiveTextureManagement - it'll convert the PNGs to DDS.
