Transmit or recover scientific data from the surface of Ike not working

Recommended Posts

I must have done a dozen of these contracts but for some reason this one doesn't work. I'm sending the data just fine, it's just doesn't update the contract. Here is an image: http://i.imgur.com/yKAFFKr.jpg

The gravity on Ike is very low, could that be the problem? Like it thinks I'm flying?

Reading your screenshot: It says "10 data received on Mystery Goo Observation while in space high over Ike."

By any chance did you collect the data from Ike orbit? What matters is where the data is from, not where your vessel happens to be at the time it transmits.

I doubt that there's a problem with the game detecting that you're on the surface. One easy way to verify is to try throttling timewarp up-- landed vessels have no limit, vessels in low orbit won't let you go past a fairly low warp factor.

If you're having trouble getting science that's from the surface, you could always send out your kerbal, let him stand on the surface, and take an EVA report; that should do the trick.

You are correct sir. I tried again, this time sending date that was collected on Ike's surface. The contract is completed. Thank you!
