Japan's HTV spacecraft launches to the ISS today.

...or so it is hoped :P it should have launched on Sunday already, but inclement weather has repeatedly delayed the flight. Today looks decent though.

It carries several armfuls of Dove cubesats for Planet Labs, a dark matter sensing telescope, equiment for the year-long experiment to compare astronaut Scott Kelly with his identical twin back on Earth, and the usual load of life support and supplies. The flight is also important because two out of four suppliers for the space station are currently grounded, so every successful vehicle counts for a lot.

Launch coverage begins at 11:00 UTC / 20:00 local Japanese time, three hours after the posting of this thread, on NASA TV. Launch is scheduled to occur at 11:50 UTC. As usual, it will launch from Tanegashima Space Center.
