You can pre-order the game if you want, or you can just get the demo from either steam or the starmade website. It contains the full game at the moment, which is because Starmade is not yet to the point where the debs want to charge money for it.

The absolutely massive ship's (I guess it's going to be a titan) reactor at our base is now "fixed".

Reactor has the same dimensions as the previous one, but I made it as efficient as possible. It only outputs 6 million or so per second, instead of the old one at 11 million, but I used the space inside of it for the existing shield capacitators (with a boatload of space still available. Server restarted before I could move the shield rechargers...)

It may seem like I made it worse, but because I'm moving the shield stuff, I can put reactors where the shields used to be. (And then fill that space with more shield stuff)

The warp gate to the spawn galaxy was killed by someone. Don't know who or why.

Either the server configs got messed up and the gate distance is too big, or...

The galaxy jumpship disappeared the other day, the new guy stepped in, the warpgate... I'd assume the new person is doing this. (Or someone else destroyed the spawn gate)

Kind of too bad. We have no reason to take warships out there, and the Galaxy Jumpship can make the trip in about five minutes.

I think I'm gonna work on a better warp gate setup here soon. I have a blueprinted design that offers some protection against attack and I could probably modify it for a 2-gate design with some tinkering.

There is one last thing we can do. Complete defense of HQ and a neutrals are hostiles policy to drive them out. Apart from that, I'd say to arrange some sort of schedule for us to be online so that we can patrol the area and kill whoever is attacking

In all honesty, The HQ is indestructible so we can still go forward from here, It's just that everyhing has to be docked all the time and there would have to be turrets all over the place.

We're going to have to use the HQ to keep all of our ships stored then, there isn't much else we can do. we should definitely get turrets though. And soon. I'll adopt the "neutrals are hostile" stance when I log on next, but be extremely careful when traversing the main galaxy then. I'd recommend shutting your turrets off unless attacked.

EDIT: When we get the warp gates back up we should use blast doors so that we can control entry and exit from them.

The problem with warp gates is that everyone can see where they are. I think we should just forget making them, use the jumpship to pick up the new guys at spawn, and keep ourselves to ourselves down in the Southern Galaxy.

Xacktar, if you'd like, I'm willing to split off from Kerbodyne (officially, unofficially I'll still be a member) and join a separate faction with you. A system or two away, perhaps. I've been wanting to create my own faction for a while now, devoted to mining and distribution of raw/processed materials (With some warship construction on the side... ).

If not, I might go and make this other faction anyways. Stock up on a bunch of resources, build a new miner, then haul out of there. I'd be supplying Kerbodyne still, and you guys can still supply yourselves, but I'd be happier with a more specialized base.

Honestly, I'm not sure what I'm going to do now. I just got finished recovering from all my stuff being stolen and now this. I really don't feel like rebuilding and re-mining everything a third time just to have this random with a grudge come and destroy it all a day later.

I just left, all my ships and stuff that was left are just floating. I don't even want to deal with it right now. Heck, they are probably destroyed now for all I know. I'm just gonna take some time away from it and maybe come back in a few days.

EDIT: actually, now I'm curious. gonna log in real quick just to see if my stuff is trashed. heh.

I think I'm going to propose that we move down another galaxy. Pack up the home base and the ships, hop in the galaxy, and start jumping to the next galaxy.
