Windows, Constant Bluescreen and reboot

Recommended Posts

I recently downloaded KSP via steam and so far I've only been able to play a whole session once. Every other time I've tried to play it at some point generally within 2 minutes of launching the game the monitors will go black, the sound will hang and then my PC reboots. I've tried launching the game from steam or directly from the .exe, I've tried raising/lowering graphic settings, I've updated all of my device drivers and so far nothing has made the problem go away.

PC running windows 7 64 bit service pack 1

Gigabyte Z97X gaming 3 mobo

Intel core i5-4460 CPU

Nvidia Gefore GTX960 graphics card

8 GB ram

OCZ Agility 3 SSD as boot drive, WD 2TB HDD as storage/program drive

KSP doesn't seem to have ever saved a crash log because it's always been a hard reset. My device temperatures are all quite low because it's the middle of winter here so it's not a thermal issue. Very frustrating because I really enjoyed getting into orbit on the one time that I had the game run for more than 5 minutes since buying it.

Hi AndrewBurns, even if you don't have a crash log KSP still makes a KSP.log in the game folder and an output_log.txt in the KSP_Data folder.

Please upload these two files somewhere as well as the output from dxdiag (start, run, type dxdiag, hit enter)

Also see here for information on Windows stop errors, the event log will show what is causing this issue so upload that as well.
