Could not create maneuver node while enroute to Duna

After executing my ejection burn I was no longer able to plot new maneuver nodes.

The small dot did not appear on my trajectory and the "Create Maneuver" button did not show up.

So I was passing by a couple thousand kilometers away from Duna.

Is this a bug or did I miss something?

It's pretty much a bug, KSP just fails to realise a node can be set on some orbits, usually if it's too far ahead of the current orbit but it's usually possible to find a point where it works then drag the node to where you need it.

Failing that, returning to the space centre and then back to the ship will usually resolve the problem.

There was no spot on the whole trajectory that would have accepted a new maneuver node.

Failing that, returning to the space centre and then back to the ship will usually resolve the problem.

I will try that next time.

Quicksave and reload fixes it for me
