My first SSTO spaceplane

Well, after a lot of trial and error, lots of fuel and kredits spent, and forum reading, i managed to build a spaceplane i am satisfied with. I made other SSTOs before this one, but i was not happy with them. Among the great creations on this forum, here is my little plane.

It doesn't do much. It doesn't do anything, actually. It has no payload, no science, no RCS, no docking port, not even batteries or panels. It can do a mun flyby though!

So to the mun it is, the only way Jeb knows how: point nose at mun and burn.

that's a good little spaceplane you've got there. Simple and effective. I like how you did the air intake, it's a simple little thing that makes it look good.

I love the design but apparently clipping fuel tanks is a sin. Fortunately there's a thread where you can go and confess your sins and hopefully be absolved.

It's got a part count of 14. I don't think he played around with hyper-densities, but rather built a simple ship with just enough TWR and a pretty decent mass ratio. You'd be surprised what you can do if you keep payload weight to a small fraction!

Yeah, I already said I love the design then gave the kid some rep for it so he'll keep up the good work. I remember doing little SSTO's like this back in version .22 - I'm a little beyond that now. Just because I poke fun at peoples irrational hatred part clipping is meaningless - 90% of what I say on this forum is just kidding around. Don't take this personally but you space plane dudes need to lighten up a bit, remember this is a game filled with little green guys (and gals) on a planet 1/10th the size of Earth blowing themselves up on a regular basis trying to get into space... LOL!
