Rotating ships (SOLVED)

Recommended Posts

KSP: 1.0.4 from Steam

OS: OSX 10.8.5

Over the time since updating KSP to 1.0.4, I have noticed that multiple probe core parts have rotation bugs that are significantly affecting the gameplay. When SAS is off, ships containing these probe cores will lean to one random direction and spin. SAS counteracts this, but only to an extent. Ships containing the probe cores will be more responsive when the keyboard tells them to lean towards the direction they are already attempting to, and will encounter resistance when the keyboard tells them to lean in the opposite direction. They also react to EVA kerbals' movements on the ground and using the EVA jetpacks.

The probe cores I have found this bug on are:

2.5m probe core

1.25m probe core

Mk2 probe core

OKTO2

There are probably more. I have a video of a Kerbal walking around on Minmus and controlling, through the aforementioned bug, a nearby ship using a 1.25m probe core.

Go to the effected vessel, hold the modifier key and press x to reset trim, see if that solves the issue.

[1.0.4] Controlling all craft within physics range (also applies to kerbals) – [FIX] [spoiler: NOTES]

With two craft in physics range, controlling one craft causes the other craft to also move. This also applies to controlling a kerbal on EVA who is near another craft.

The fix works immediately. No need to quicksave/reload/restart.

- Switch to each craft in range (using [ or ] ) and zero out the trim setting (ALT-X)
