Quick guide to help landing on other planets

Recommended Posts

Get Planetary Phase Angle, Ejection Angle and Ejection Velocity from ksp.olex.biz

Warp to Planetary Phase Angle.

Use MJ Ascent Guidance to (or manually) get into the orbit height used in the calculator.

Warp to Ejection Angle.

Burn until you reach the Ejection Velocity.

Use MJ Maneuver Planner (or manually create a maneuver node) to Match Planes at closest node (AN or DN).

Create maneuver and use markers along with MJ Node Editor to get a Periapsis in the target planet.

Warp to SOI Transition.

If desired orbit is inverted, burn Anti-radial til orbit switches, then burn Radial to correct it.

If desired orbit is Polar, burn Normal until you get 90deg inclination.

Warp to Periapsis and burn Retrograde to get into orbit.

Circularize orbit.

Burn retrograde to deorbit and land.
