Aero FX: @ 70 m/s ?

Recommended Posts

Been hunting around, but I can't seem to find anything on this aside from the known 'missing aero fx' physics.cfg replacement glitch.

Anyway, I'm encountering visual effects that intuition is telling me is incorrect.

I've been building some aircraft and then setting them for takeoff. At around 70 to 80 m/s (or 150 knots), I start getting the white trails of the aero FX across my parts like I'm doing high-mach. By the time I'm at a lazy cruising speed of 150 or so m/s, my aircraft looks like I should be gripping my stick, gritting my teeth, taking a photo and turning it into a 'KSP INTENSIFIES' [shake] GIF image with the amount of aero visual effects 'ripping' over my aircraft.

Essentially, visually, I'm barely doing .3 mach with something that looks like a global hawk or U2, and the VFX are behaving like I turned the 'epic flying intensifies!' knob up to max.

So far, I've been going through what in my mind are the first candidates and removing them.

- FAR: Not it

- EVE: Not it

- Real Plumes: Not It

I'm not sure if this is something in the physics.cfg settings, or an obscure setting hidden away in the depths of a mod, but I cannae' find any leads on what might cause this. Leads will be appreciated, and I'll be plucking away at a few more ideas that came to me while typing this.

EDIT:

Image of the Gobal Hokk 'hauling' at the blinding speed of... 88 m/s.

I've looked up KSP videos by others and this VFX doesn't show up for them until the correct velocities. I'd like to correct mine.
