Sci-Fi short story name I can't remember

I remember reading a story about an alien describing earth.

The story was written in such a way that you initially thought it was a human writing it, and just at the end you discovered that it was actually an alien describing earth (and not a human describing an alien planet).

I cannot for the life of me remember the title of that short story.

does anyone know what I'm talking about?

That can be any story. "The alien was us all long" twist is not exactly new. Got any more details for us to go on?

this is all I remember:

1- the alien describes the sun as a "white star" it also describes the sky, but I'm not sure which words he used

2- earth is described generally as an harsh world, unospitable

3- the alien kills a human "pink skinned alien" that makes a strange shrieking noise when it's killed

4- I think the alien died at the end, and as he dies you are revealed that it was on earth

5- the alien was some kind of soldier, but I'm not sure about this point
