Game freezes while building rocket

Recommended Posts

Direct3D:

Version: Direct3D 9.0c [nvumdshim.dll 9.18.13.3165]

Renderer: NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M

Vendor: NVIDIA

VRAM: 1994 MB (via DXGI)

Caps: Shader=30 DepthRT=1 NativeDepth=1 NativeShadow=1 DF16=0 INTZ=1 RAWZ=0 NULL=1 RESZ=0 SlowINTZ=0

Well that's something at least, though still no sign in the log as to what might be causing the freeze.

I know KSP can freeze when certain other software is in use, have you got anything installed that monitors cpu and memory, something from Steam maybe?

Well, I played using Intel HD Graphics, it worked better for about 1h, than it froze for 10s and recovered. So the problem seems to be the GPU after all, but I've already played for this long using NVIDIA. So a few more tries are needed, but I hopeful! :D

Update: the game still freezes with Intel Graphics. But in my lattest attempt I had a different error, the image is on the dropbox folder. But I believe that this new error is due to Intel Graphics lack of power.

Update 2: this time, it froze while loading VAB.

I found a lot of old drivers installation problem and a big amount of people facing the same problem as me. Unfortunately, none of them was solved. =/

EDIT: on a WOW's forum, there was a guy saying that this started to happen after an update. There's a way to get the second latest version?

EDIT 2: But I don't think the problem is the GPU, because it still hapens when I use Intel Graphics.

hi there!

It would seem to be the source of the problem is overclocking or maximum usage of gpu or cpu cards. I would recommend turning them down to where they can be played such as balanced in msi computers. Dota 2 also have the same problem as well. i hope this helps!

sincerely,
