{AMRSD} CST-100 Starliner

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

When the announcement on the name of Boeing's new crew capsule's name dropped, I decided that it was time for a Replica.

It has a docking port cover and adapter to 2.5 meter parts:

These detach to reveal 4 thud engines, and a standard docking port:

It has rearward facing solar panels (I think this is how the real one works):

It has a 8-Kerbal capacity, you'll need to clip the camera into the fairing to select the crew cabins, but it's as easy as I could make it:

Enjoy! (Jeb does):

It, of course, has parachutes and a heatshield.

(I don't know what you mean "You changed the KerbalX file moments before you posted this.")

Very cool, i am surprised multi-part space capsules are not more popular

I don't know, maybe it's part count, when stock one-part capsules do the same thing.

I like the look of it, and it looks well made, one question, is it a replica if it hasn't been built yet, wouldn't it be a concept or artists impression? ;)

Thanks! As to your question: I think so, since I'm using the parts in KSP to imitate something in the real world. Even if it's only a piece of concept art. To me, the process of making a replica is not making something exactly like real life -if I wanted to do that, I'd get more seriously into modding- but using the limited selection of parts to create something which imitates something else, normally real, but anything which is not designed for maximum usefulness in KSP.
