ADDONS:

Space shuttle launch pad (no base or tracks until wheels fixed)

How to use:

1: start with the shuttle in the VAB,

2: move it upwards in the hangar

select the pad, then place it underneath the shuttle, rotate it to match shuttles orientation.

3:connect the node floating above the pad to the node between the shuttle engines (see pic) holding the ALT key while connecting nodes helps make it easier.

---this is a decoupler node

4: check your staging so it decouples when the boosters ignite

it was on the STS-46 mission and was called TSS pallet and used for deploying The EURECA satelite

wel the EURECA (The European Retrievable Carrier ) had 15 experiments on board and was deployed by atlantis mission (STS-46) and retrieved by Endeavour mission STS-57

it was deployed by TSS which is an Space Tether (see link) (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_tether)

the satelites had to be able to fit in the tether system so they have to be custom made i think (not sure if stock ksp will fit)

Hey and Mike, got an interesting idea for the ISS stuff for later, add a place to have the shuttle arm grapple the large pieces like Unity so you can manuever them out of the payload bay!

yes, I think that may have been part of the problem with me using arms (and why I prefer tugs) no clue where to attach the arm to make sure I can move stuff in and around the payload bay
