kerbin texture problem

Recommended Posts

Hi!

I downloaded ksp the other day and since then I've had problems with the kerbin textures(?) the problem is:

When I zoom out or look at kerbin from a distance it appears grey or white. It feels like it gets overexposed.

there seems to be no problem when close or at ground level. exept in orbit mode, then its white all the time.

I thought the textures might be missing or something so I downloaded custom textures and some mods (EVE, TR, PlanetShine (and pimpmykerbals I think)), but nothing worked.

I hope I posted the thread in the right part of the furom since the problem has nothing to do and occured before i installed mods.

I have tried some different graphic settings like lowering texture quality, rendering, res etc but no improvement and i dont think it has anything to do with it because i can run the game at high settings with no lag or other problem at all.

this i how it looks:

ZzkCS1p.jpg

1. how it looks in the title screen.

2. this is how it looks when you are spectating a rocket in "staging" mode on ground level and close zoom.

3. zoomed out one level and the planets starts to look a bit grey.

4. zoomed out one more level and everything is now white.

5. max zoomed out as in "staging" mode and the whole planet is bright white.

6. and 7. how it looks from far away

8. this is how it looks in orbit mode when close to it. the circles on the surfase may be from a mod.

I know that the clouds make it a little harder to see but i think you get what i want to show here.

version 1.0.0 (32 bit I think)

Windows 7 64-bit

no steam

GTX 470

4 GB ram

i5 quad 3.33 GHz

What should i do?

Hi Lucman, I think you need to redownload KSP and retest with a completely fresh install, then upload the GameData\output_log.txt and your dxdiag hardware report :)

ok, so i reinstalled it but the problem persists.

this is the output log:

and heres the dxdiag report:

would be really awesome if you took your time and looked it through :)
