Question about IVAs and colliders

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I am working on my first IVA, and it's been loads of fun (not in a sarcastic way). I've been following some tutorials by nil2work but one question I have is regarding colliders. I know that parts need colliders, but I'm confused about colliders for IVAs. are they needed? For instance, the crew cab I built has a floor, do I need a collider for the floor? What about colliders for the sides of the cab, are they needed?

Here's a reference:

Thanks for the help. :)

Internals do not need colliders. Kerbals can't move around in them. If you use props the props need colliders. Or internal cameras to say look out a window. Anything that you want to click (a prop) needs one but nothing else does.
