Random engine explosion

Hello All, just started playing last week, and had something strange happen. Several minutes after linkingmy new Mun lander to my station I visited the tracking station and then returned to my station.

Upon returning to my station one of my landers engines quickly overheated and blew up, I wasn't even creating thrust at that moment. Is this something that happens in the game or was it a bug?

I will now have to send up another lander to recover the mission, kinda a neat twist to my original plan...

Sudden overheating and explosions of parts (not only engines) is a known bug.

I suggest installing Claw's Stock Bug Fix Modules that provides a fix for it (still experimental though, so not 100% bug-proof).
