Buoyant rover to explore under ice surface

JPL came up with this interesting rover to explore beneath the ice oceans of bodies.

I wonder how they plan to put this thing through the ice though...orbital drop in a shell through the ice before letting it float up? Or just drill it slowly? Edited September 25, 2015 by RainDreamer

I was about to type that same thing....

Europa should have a water ocean.

Titan should have lakes/small oceans of methane... but methane ice ocean? on Europa?

Uh, I think I have heard it wrong. They were testing it in methane rich lake in Alaska, not that they are testing it for methane ice in Europa.... >.>
