Happy Gas. The Last Gas Station

During the long drive through the desert, "Happy Gas" was the last place they wanted to be. But it was also the last gas station.

"No, Val! This is too much! Look at that place!"

"We've got no choice, Deb. Unless you can fix the ISRU."

"Why did I ever agree on taking part in the Elcano challenge."

A few hundred yards further, at the gas station two men suddenly woke up.

"Ya hear that? Something heavy. Really heavy. That might need a lot of LOX. Your turn, get on your feet, Bud!"

"Floyd, you're a real earhole you know that! I had to do it last time!"

"Yeah but that's over 7 months ago. Now git!"

The rumble of the engines and the pounding of the wheels on the gravel sent vibrations through the whole building. Some plaster came loose from the ceiling, bits and pieces fell everywhere and a small dust cloud enjoyd it's existence until suddenly eaten by a much larger, beige colored cloud. Val turned their ALRM1-SE Amphiphile Omega onto the concrete, a bit too fast so she stepped on the brake. A few loud bangs were heard ... not from the Omega, but from crumbling concrete shooting away from under the massive wheels. She stopped the engine. For a minute or so nothing happened, except waiting for the giant dust cloud to settle.

Bud stood in the door, flabbergasted and coughing.

"Welcome to Happy Gas! We have the finest LOX, fuel and monoprop of the entire region!"

"Yeah, whatever" said Val, while she looked with disgust at the place. But when she looked Bud in the eye, her hart jumped a second.

"Do ... do you have ehm ... what else do you have?" she asked Bud.

Behind her Deb and Siana facepalmed. "Oh no, we're stuck ... again!"

I don't know if it's because I'm tired and still stuck with several hours of class left, but that made me laugh. I'm not sure what's so funny though...
