I couldn't care less about All Hallows Eve. But I do like fall, it's my favorite of the seasons. It has an interesting aesthetic and the rains are always welcomed.

Seriously? They had to do a Snopes article on that one? The fact that our current calendar has only been in use for about 430 years wasn't a clue? Or that Halloween is always on the 31st of October, so couldn't ever fall on a Friday the 13th wasn't an even bigger one? People's gullibility never ceases to amaze me...

There's probably a psychological trick about why that works. The age of the calendar isn't exactly common knowledge. But the 13/31 discrepancy... it's probably like those really SIMPLE logic puzzles that 2nd graders would all catch but anyone over 20 gets wrong 90% of the time.

I do the same thing (on the keyboard anyway), but I call it a "timing error".
