Since all my launches lately fail, I decided to start experimenting with launch escape systems...

The first one I used was, of course, the stock LES. I always like to use stock before I use a modded bit. Sometimes stock is better (for what I'm trying to do).

Well, the stock LES is poopy. The center of thrust is vertically in line with the center of mass of the command pod, which means you're going to launch along the same trajectory as the booster stages, which will slam into you.

So, I noticed I had a "Mk2 Cover", probably from a mod. This gave me an idea to improve the default LES, and this is the system I came up with, using 3 action groups.
