Steam shortcut, outdated KSP

I have a steam shortcut for KSP and when I got the game it was at the update after 1.0, And I can't figure out how to update the game. I need help!

Hi Rocketthrust, as you have KSP on Steam, use Steam to update it for you.

Javascript is disabled. View full album

The Update tab has an option to keep the game up-to-date.

And the Betas tab lets you choose the current release (1.0.4) or the last stable release (0.90.0).

If you still cannot update KSP you will need to contact Steam support.

No it wasn't! KSP's latest version is 1.0.4. If you've got a game with version 1.0.8 it's not KSP!

Hold your horses Tex, it's probably a typo, possibly of 0.18.0

Forget my head next, can't even remember which version was first on Steam.

All I said he could not have been on 1.0.8.

If he believes he used to be on 1.0.8 and is on 1.0.4 right now it would explain why his game won't update as there is nothing TO update.

I will admit though my statement might have been a bit direct but that's probably due to the overwhelming amount of obvious questions lately.

That would be 1.0.1, to verify you are using the current version of KSP, open your KSP folder then the buildID.txt file.

It should contain this:

build id = 00861

2015-06-23_10-19-10
