What happened with Spore.com

Well, I wanted to make a Spore account (I just got galactic adventures and found it necessary to make an account to download adventures and stuff to keep my sporepedia stocked up) And www.Spore.com doesnt work! Can anyone please tell me what is going on?

I feel like I should post the typical "uggh, not somebody else who needs this question answered" response, but this isn't the Sporum (It's been asked there a lot).

The answer is that Spore.com is being moved to a new server, and is undergoing a very long maintenance period.

Such an amazing game shall never die. This game is all my childhood ! It is awesome in so many ways. Can't think of many flaws (ofc a few, but insignificant... )

They should make a Spore 2 targeted at teens and older players. You know, like the original Spore was supposed to be ;P
