As the in game craft description says. Hit caps for soft controls and this should be very similar to the XP-55 in warthunder. Which, I fly exclusively. The only other things you might want to do for realism is keep the throttle down so it can never get past it's max stats for a propeller.

Also, use SAS for stability.

Real stats: (translated to KSP numbers. If I'm not mistaken.)

Max speed: 174.444 m/s (5,882m)

Max altitude: 10,500m

Length: 9.0m

Width: 12.4m

Height: 3.0m

I have no idea if the other stats are correct like rate of climb, or the power ratio, etc. But It feels like the one in warthunder a bit if you use the fine controls.

The wings look a little funny also. But there isn't a part small enough to fit this plane in stock.

That must be horribly hard to turn and unstable. Or maybe not. You could slightly tilt the canards to move the col.

Everything I've heard, the plane was in real life or something. SAS works pretty good. Although I have removed it's turnability from the earlier version... I'm not sure what I did. It's still flies fairly nice though.

Without SAS the nose falls down for some reason. With it it flies perfectly smooth.

I wish I could really dig into the craft file and tinker with it. As it stands, I can't do a lot of troubleshooting for you :P

My instinct with the nose-down problem is in your center of lift. It seems to be at a crazy angle relative to the craft, and I'm guessing that's because you have so many rotated/translated control surfaces. The game gets confused when you do that too much. Turn a control surface even a tiny amount and it will jump way out of position. That can be exploited, but here it looks like it's working against you. My advice is to do a top-down rebuilt, but take a different approach to your control surfaces.

Also, if you've got the fuel budget, try throwing some vernors on there. It can do crazy things for your maneuverability, though it can really cut into your flight time. Good luck, dude!
