CTD when trying to launch

Recommended Posts

I recently installed Xubuntu 14.04 LTS just for the ability to run a 64 bit version of KSP because my modlist is too large for the 32 bit RAM limit. My problem is that I can load the game and use the VAB but when I hit launch it goes to loading and then just dumps me back to the desktop with no warning. I can not post the log because for some reason it has not generated one since last night. I have tested it with a stock install using the 64 bit version and it works fine. The problem appears to be with a mod. The question is: which one? I have over 90 installed so it will take a while to isolate it. If anyone has had this problem before and could shed some light on it I'd appreciate it.

Do you know how to run a program from the terminal?

Open a terminal, type cd then space. Next drag the entire ksp folder into the terminal, it should automatically fill in the directory path. hit enter, now you should be in the ksp folder. next type ./KSP.x86_64 then hit enter, any startup errors should be listed at the bottom.
