Deleting parts to save RAM

Recommended Posts

If I want to save on RAM by removing parts I don't need, is it enough to remove the relevant .cfg files or do I need to delete all of the textures and such as well?

Textures are loaded first, parts are only put together at the end. The game will load anything that looks interesting whether it's used or not. Best bet is to just move the entire part folder once you've checked parts aren't sharing models or textures.
