nhnifong
Would it be possible to pump in kethane from nearby tanks (descending from parachutes / landed on the ground) and then convert it into fuel, all while flying up from Eve?Tried it on the mun. the conversion rate is too slow and it's too hard to stay within range of the supplier when both you and it are moving under power.Besides, if the supplier has enough power to accelerate at the same rate as you, why not just stay connected to it?Racing past many parachuting crafts would be hard to set up and would require you to switch to them rapidly and turn on pumping. Ekku Zakku
Gotta go more slowly! Can just one set of those SRBs lift the vehicle? Or better, just two? It would be greatly advantageous to only have a couple of the SRB's carry you up for a while, and then fire more off as you need them. Atmospheric resistance is the #1 enemy getting off of Eve, and just trying to punch through it as quickly as possible is going to net you nothing. Also I wanted to suggest using a docked interplanetary stage to get your Eve landers there. That one you sent me not too long ago seemed to be trouble getting to Kerbin orbit because it had the interplanetary stage attached, yet if you were actually able to get that into orbit, then you could definitely get a larger Eve lander into orbit and not have to worry about the weight of the interplanetary stage. Just saying
SNapple
Due to an unfortunate accident that happened during the testing of an experimental Mun lander, KSC decided to assemble a new facility, a medical bay!Milbin is certainly happy to be alive... The other two look as if they want to sue me for emotional distress =PThe crew that barely survived the lander accident is now the crew of KSC's new medical bay! Featuring 10 three-man pods, there is plenty of room for any Kerbals who might have undergone rough flights in the space program. It's also a great place for Kerbonauts who have just returned from space to get re-acclimated to Kerbin's gravity, as well as undergo medical tests related to long-term stays in zero gravity. This facility will be key in sending future Kerbonauts through deep space, and putting them on other worlds.I read "Medical Bay" as "Micheal Bay"

Ekku Zakku
Mother of Jool, it's... beautiful! Thanks! XD I tried my best lmao.Currently stationed in the med bay are the crew from the lander accident (now the permanent med bay crew), Bill, Jeb, and Bob after spending a good 3 days in zero-g, longer than any other Kerbals in my space program so far, and a few other no-name Kerbonauts who just got back from a mission. Turns out they're all ok, although longer stays in zero-g will have to happen before more data about its effects will be available. Also, this is a great method for cycling crew members rather than just sending up the same crew a million times haha. I quite like how I'm roleplaying my space program XD

RogueMason
All of these were taken on my first relatively successful Duna mission (for the most part, duh).<a href="/image_zoom.php?id=/user_images/9763/1349554446m"><img src="http://images.mocpages.com/user_images/9763/1349554446m_SPLASH.jpg" border="0" width="500" height="281" alt=""></a>"Kouston, we've had a problem"-- Most of the ground control guys started screaming, paper was flying everywhere, ambulances outside... it was just a mess. All because an engine decided it would be funny to detach itself after exiting time warp. This incident remains my only encounter with the Space Cthulu. However, the joke's on him because, even though there was fuel left in that stage, I didn't need it <a href="/image_zoom.php?id=/user_images/9763/1349554459m"><img src="http://images.mocpages.com/user_images/9763/1349554459m_SPLASH.jpg" border="0" width="500" height="281" alt=""></a>Looking at Duna from afar, Wilgan Kerman realised he may just become even more renowned than Bobsey or Sherrey Kerman for landing here. If he landed here. (Don't know who Bobsey or Sherrey are? Shame on you. But seriously, look at my profile if you're interested, in the 'About Me' section).<a href="/image_zoom.php?id=/user_images/9763/1349554466m"><img src="http://images.mocpages.com/user_images/9763/1349554466m_SPLASH.jpg" border="0" width="500" height="281" alt=""></a><a href="/image_zoom.php?id=/user_images/9763/1349554480m"><img src="http://images.mocpages.com/user_images/9763/1349554480m_SPLASH.jpg" border="0" width="500" height="281" alt=""></a>He had a close encounter with Ike, but a little bit of perseverance (more like fuel, actually) ensured a 'safe' descent to Duna's surface.<a href="/image_zoom.php?id=/user_images/9763/1349554495m"><img src="http://images.mocpages.com/user_images/9763/1349554495m_SPLASH.jpg" border="0" width="500" height="281" alt=""></a>Getting closer...<a href="/image_zoom.php?id=/user_images/9763/1349554511m"><img src="http://images.mocpages.com/user_images/9763/1349554511m_SPLASH.jpg" border="0" width="500" height="281" alt=""></a>Upon recieving this picture, Jebediah, back at the center, immediately pushed for it to be turned into a postcard for sale to the public.<a href="/image_zoom.php?id=/user_images/9763/1349554523m"><img src="http://images.mocpages.com/user_images/9763/1349554523m_SPLASH.jpg" border="0" width="500" height="281" alt=""></a>"OK, who's the idiot that forgot to equip the lander itself with parachutes, hmm?" Wilgan yelled down his microphone as he decoupled the re-entry stage to save himself. Bob Kerman shuffled out of the control room awkwardly when this message got home...<a href="/image_zoom.php?id=/user_images/9763/1349554534m"><img src="http://images.mocpages.com/user_images/9763/1349554534m_SPLASH.jpg" border="0" width="500" height="281" alt=""></a>Now stranded on the surface of Duna, Wilgan is both amazed and incredibly homesick. Fortunately, for the duration of his time on the surface, he had lots of gadgets with colourful luminescent buttons to do science with before being zapped back to Kerbin via the teleporter i.e. the controversial 'End Flight' button on Jebediah's desk. The capsule remains on the surface as a monument to Kerbalkinds first journey to another planet. Edited October 6, 2012 by RogueMason
