KSP freezes when I edit my staging.

I get 120 fps constant in the game but for some odd reason when I mouse over anything in my staging the game will freeze for about 1-2 seconds, this makes building rockets the hardest part of the game. Sorry if this has been answered before, I searched google and this forum and didn't find anything.
