3840 X 2160 UI size

Recommended Posts

Hello guys,

If this is already asked sorry but i couldnt find anything about this problem. I changed my monitor and Graphic card i started to use everthing in 3840 x 2160 resolution. Anyway, is there a way to make your UI size bigger because i cant see or click at interface. Its too small  tried to changed UI_size from settings.cfg but nothing changed. Any suggestions? mybe a hotfix update or sth else.. it should be easy. :P

Not fully supported in the current game version. Large parts of the UI are fixed; you can scale some elements in flight view, but for example the text size stays tiny, and so do the space center UIs IIRC. Your best bet is probably to downsize to 1920x1080, which is exactly half your resolution (and thus should avoid most scaling artifacts) and is pretty much what the UI is designed for.

Potentially possible after the UI gets redone for Unity 5, which is currently scheduled for version 1.1... though don't take my word for it, I don't work for Squad!

Also, welcome to the forums. :)

What's your OS resolution? I tried 4k resolution on windows 10 but resulted in a ridiculous small font size. sadly, this world doesn't seem to be ready for 4k resolution. .. yet.

Weren't you able to able to scale the Windows UI? In Win7, it's in "Control Panel" -> "Display" (Well, if i translated correctly), where you can change from 100% Scale to 2 larger one (for me, it's 125% and 150%, but it depends on display resolution). Expect Webpages to look slightly different.

Also, as this modifies the OS font size, it could work for OP as well.

Also, 1280x720 is exactly 1/3 of that resolution (KSP is a bit squished at 720p though heh). Having those options is very nice, and why I'm rather jealous of that monitor. My old dated 1080p units can't do any other "classical" resolution without artifacts or black borders (960x540 and 640x360 not being very common, eh?). :C
