Parachutes not showing up in staging

My problem is that the parachutes on my craft do not show in the rocket staging, and they cannot be activated. Here's an image:

As you can see, there is no parachute icon there. But it gets worse.

'Parachute missing' my arse! What in the bloody hell is going on here?

Here's my mod list:

All mods are up to date except for Interstellar Extended, which is version 1.0.5.

If you have module manager, that might be the problem. I have a similar issue also.

Uninstall all your mods AND KSP altogether, to see if that changes anything.

Then download mods that use MM to see if the problem happens again.

Otherwise, I'm unsure how you fix this problem, sorry.

I had this bug recently. It happened when I installed FAR on the KSP x64 workaround. I know FAR won't really work in 64 bit but I tried it anyway. I just deinstalled after I notice it didn't work.

I'll delete ModuleManager and all its' configs and reinstall it tonight. I'll let you know.

The other thing I haven't tried is installing RealChutes to counter the problem.

No problems encountered in 32-bit after installing FAR.

I encountered this bug after installing FAR in the unofficial 64-bit version of KSP. What version of KSP are you running?

I don't see ModularFlightIntegrator, a FAR dependency, in your list. Do you have it installed?

I got this problem after installing FAR and updating MechJeb 2 for 1.0.5
