Hypersonic Mega Airliner (372 Kerbal Capacity)

Recommended Posts

Description:

This unorthodox looking beast of a plane has a high passenger capacity and is surprisingly agile and stable for its size. It's not technically hypersonic, still I would like to make one in the future that is.

Yes nice multi-fuselage build, I built this one where the Kerbals get a little different experience, although it's not near the size of yours!

Nice, I knew I wasn't the first to make a multi-fuselage plane, honestly it's the only obvious way to make planes this size in ksp without making the plane awkwardly long and floppy. I'm tempted to make one that holds a 1000 kerbals. My first multi-fuselage was a 56 kerbal SSTO:

(It obviously doesn't go much beyond low earth orbit :P)

I soon realized that a spaceplane wouldn't hold nearly as much kerbals as a normal plane because it would need to be 2/3th fuel in weight. It's also very challenging to keep it from stalling during descend because of the fuel imbalance, hence the big wings in the back to act like fletching on an arrow to keep the nose pointing in the right direction.
