uneven fuel draw that used to work

Hey so forgive me if my fuel lines are not set up correctly (it worked previously) but im getting uneven fuel draw from my drop tanks

idk it used to work the way i wanted it too, the fuel would draw evenly from both sides, but im spinning out at high atmosphere because of this now. There are stages i took off the ship because this is the stage im having issues with. Any help appreciated!

only mod running is kerbal alarm clock

Hi fireblade274, there were some changes to decouplers, they can crossfeed now, and can be disabled in their action menu.

This might be why your craft is having trouble, if you shut off their feed so the fuel lines are not competing with them the craft should be okay.

Attempting to fix your craft is so far resulting in fail.

Update:

Fixed the craft by removing the droptank fuel lines and replacing them.

Added issue to the 1.0.5 issue repository.

Yea! i finally got (the test craft) to work also but when i compared it to the full craft it looked exactly the same, every combination of fuel lines and disabling crossfeeds, and I thought i was going insane-_-. Ill try removing all fuel lines and replacing them on the full craft. Thank you for your quick response and help once again Claw!

Edit: Alas, after replacing all fuel lines on the craft it is still only drawing from that one side. Here is the full craft, if anyone can get it fixed that would be aweesome. I was fixing other stuff on it throughout the night to get it working again till i encountered the issue https://www.dropbox.com/s/p5ej11l2rfenjie/LTP%204%20Full%20craft.craft?dl=0

While adding on the extra stage needed for take off (lots of jet engines) to the fixed craft, I encountered this visual graphical issue when placing a part symmetrically to the lower part of my vessel. Not sure if it helps but it is odd and I thought it worthy to mention

https://www.dropbox.com/s/n9w1dcpjjrrm9hs/2015-11-10_00020.jpg?dl=0

https://www.dropbox.com/s/3jphillzdojj8p7/2015-11-10_00019.jpg?dl=0 notice how it only effects the bottom

https://www.dropbox.com/s/qn0pxh24sys7sz4/2015-11-10_00018.jpg?dl=0 it affects what ever part is place there

Ill try and fly the craft anyway and see how it goes

Edit: where i was placing that part, it turns out i don't need to place it there for my craft to work lol. Placing it on the same tank as the above ones were connected to did not induce the graphical issue. Id like to note that on the part with the graphical issue, nothing could be attached to that part.

Eek I recognize that, there's two tanks together there, sometimes when you remove one of a symmetry pair it leaves a part behind and it's easy to miss this when installing a new pair.

It's hard to reproduce, sometimes I get it when adding further symmetry parts to parts which are themselves symmetric clones, the usual result is explosive...

I know what your talking about but I could not pull off the "second" part that was meshing with the other part, as ive been previously able to do when that happens. there was nothing there on either side and i still get it when placing a part on the craft like that:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/nb7s3hhuqa25gcm/2015-11-10_00021.jpg?dl=0 nothing there

https://www.dropbox.com/s/tt2dw9ysxk4kko8/2015-11-10_00022.jpg?dl=0 3rd "extra" part being added and meshing with right side part

But the LTP works now after 12 hours of tinkering! and I am very grateful!!

It fly's good, but ever since the update the 4 aero brakes burn up on re entry now since the temperature update. Everything else survives (bairly) and I really like the update but I for one wish the aero brakes had higher heat tolerance; 1.2k seems kinda low considering the gear are 2.7k. Without adding a heavy heat shield the only way I can think of helping it out is adding 2 more aero brakes ha

Yeah I agree it's definitely too low for those parts.

A cheap trick I use to scrub off speed is to roll inverted and pull "up", I hit a lot more air that way and slow down much sooner...

hm never really thought about that. but thats hard to do when your streaming down like a bat outa hell
