Game Crashes on Startup - Access Violation

I played for a few hours yesterday with no problems but when I tried to start the game today (through steam) I got an error message.

Hi adpen12, it looks like you need to either plugin the laptop (if it is a laptop) and enable performance mode in your power settings, or you need to reinstall your graphics driver, as KSP says it's missing.

Don't forget to reboot your PC after installing a driver.

Also if you have a lot of open programs, try closing down anything you aren't using.
