You mean like the one that pops up when you rename your ship in the editor?

The one in the editor is nice, but there are a couple of issues:

First, there's no way to get at that anywhere but the editor. I'd really like some way to get at it when looking at an actual ship (e.g. on the info panel in the map view, or somewhere). Yes, there would be some complexity around "what do you show when two ships dock together" and so forth, but workarounds could be done.

Second, I've often found myself wishing for an editable "notes" field on each ship instance. For example, the "Rename Ship" dialog currently allows setting the ship name and icon. Would be cool if it had another text field for "notes", which would be populated with the VAB text by default for new ships, but which you can edit in flight for a given instance of a ship.

Some sort of hall of fame for vessels with the list of achievements of each one of them would be nice.
