I wonder if I could make a stock launcher for the VA Ibis X. That would be a pretty cool thing to have at the polar base... right?

Eh. Don\'t add me to the flight list yet though. I don\'t actually know if it can be done.

Alright! I got the mechanics down for the station. Its a very cool mod! Turns out all you need is a stationary ship in orbit but you don\'t take anything from it, only stuff from it that is 'cargo.' We could build huge bases in the future!

I\'m almost done. Probably 20-30 more minutes.

I have that mod. Its a bugger to get into synchronous orbit with.

Ok.

But don\'t expect to see one on an Ibis X. Those are no sissyplanes. They are piloted by real Jebs.

Oh, I never use it for planes...

Anyway, Twinky, can I have permission to do a test launch and dock to the station to be sure it works?

Then again, I suppose MechJeb works as an autopilot. I just don\'t want it doing landings for me. Not that it could, when Ibis Xs land by cushioning the impact with RCS.

EDIT: The Ibis X

Takeoff.

Orbit.

It was wheelying like this for a full 40 seconds.

Finally getting the bird down. It landed fine.

I can modify it to use less mods, but it has to keep its NERVA engines. The original design, as you can see, used stock gimballing engines. It could only get to orbit with those.

Station is in orbit, now I have to get to it with a test cargo.

The advantage of having a geosynchronous object to get to is that since you launch from the same spot, all you have to do is get in the same orbit and you will be in the same spot that the object is.

i thought it was going to go in orbit around Minmus....? But ok, that\'s fine.

Another note, it will actually not be able to be geosynch... mechjeb depends on a time to launch for a rendezvous, and since it never gets further or closer to us, the clock just sits there. What altitude should I make it?

EDIT: How is 3mil meters?

If noone else is launching I\'ll launch a craft.

Finally, I got it working, but might be a slight bitch.

You will also need the spaceDockInventory.txt, but I will give that to people who will be using it during their turn.

The station is at 100km.

You should include it anyways. Also, you CAN\'T have multiple space docks, and a kerbin one seems pointless. (to me)

A minmus one, on the other hand...

A Kerbin one could allow you to build much larger spacecraft. You could have larger engines on it than you could by launching from the ground. It\'d be annoying getting it to Minmus from there, but less time consuming than a ground launch, since you\'d have bigger engines to make your intercept faster.

It may be easier to launch from minmus orbit, but getting a sufficient payload there just wouldn\'t be worth it.

I wonder if it actually matters which inv file you use, so you can launch from whichever station you want...

Will have to test that.

The spaceDockInventory.exe is universal, meaning you won\'t be able to have two at one time. If you did, it wouldn\'t know where to teleport your orbital ship.
