McChubs
Hello there! I just bought Kerbal today. My brother and I have literally been up until 5am playing it, making ramshackle, wobbly pieces of rubbish that barely fly. Anyway, my question is: to activate or deactivate an engine, you have to zoom right up to your plane or rocket and press \'deactivate\'. Is there a mod to bind this to a key? Or just some easier way? It\'s quite tricky when you\'re in the thick of things to have to fiddle about zooming in. Thanks for the help.
Phoxtane
You don\'t have to zoom in at all; you just need the right angle to actually be able to right-click on the part in question
McChubs
Often I won\'t be able to see the information panels unless I\'m fairly close, which makes it especially difficult. Is there no workaround yet?
Cryphonus
There is no easy way of doing this as far as i know.
Capt'n Skunky
You might want to change your designs so you don\'t need to individually turn engines on and off.Cheers!Capt\'n SkunkyKSP Community Manager
McChubs
It\'s an upper atmosphere jet, using jet engines to get up in the air, and the toroidal spike when the air was too thin. No point just having the jet engines mindlessly wasting fuel when I was that high up. Or do they not use fuel when there\'s no air throughput? Regardless, I thought it was rather neat to switch those off when jumping continents.
Endeavour
If the engines are added with symettry they will all deactivate together, but you still need to right click on it.
