TheBarnetts
Hello, Mechjeb will not turn or actuate the control surfaces despite saying it's gravity turning. Have checked probe orientation and install path. All is good as far as I can tell. Using latest install of KSP and mechjeb 2.5.3. I also installed kerbal engineer so would that create a conflict? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
Auriga_Nexus
I don't believe MechJeb has been updated to v. 1.0.5 yet. I had the opposite problem where control surfaces would deflect to maximum positive yaw without input. My advice is to fall back to 1.0.4 until things settle down. A lot of mods are broken in 1.0.5 because of various aero/drag/thermal model changes.
TheBarnetts
Ah, should have known. This is the first time I've installed Mechjeb so it didn't really occur to me at first.
Auriga_Nexus
If you have Steam, opting into the "previous stable release" will bring your installed version back to 1.0.4. MechJeb's development version has unofficial 1.0.5 support but I believe it is still quite buggy. Right now MechJeb's developer is working on an official release for 1.0.5 but it is likely going to take some time between Fallout 4 and the potential impact of certain current events (he lives in Paris). I would personally recommend playing with 1.0.4 so you can get used to how MechJeb works, then switch to 1.0.5 when the official MJ version is released. There are some changes in the main game in 1.0.5 that are better than 1.0.4 (more realistic aero/drag/thermal models, plus buoyancy model that makes water landings actually possible), but nothing that would make 1.0.4 unplayable. There is one huge advancement, the spaceplane auto land will get you to the runway now.
Seaview123
I had the same problem when I updated to 1.0.5. I found out the version of MechJeb you get from CKAN is sometimes not the most current build. Replacing the version I had installed with the newest version fixed most everything for me. Try using the link below to get the most recent version, which is build #524 when I posted this: http://jenkins.mumech.com/job/MechJeb2/lastStableBuild/
Odyessus
Im using build #524 and its working great, apart from landing guidance... but that could have been due to me staging mid manoeuvre and throttling back the nukes to prevent an explosion - it basically didn't do the brake burn until I was tens of metres away from the ground...
