Hello Giacomo, and welcome to the forums!

If you're looking for tips and tricks, the Gameplay Questions section of the forum as well as the Tutorials subsection are great places to start.
Of particular note is the Drawing Board thread which is a reference to many, many useful materials.

Most importantly, be sure to check out the KSP Wiki. It is a comprehensive reference maintained by the community. It takes time to get updated after changes to the game, but it is absolutely invaluable in learning how to play.

Happy landings!

Tips and tricks:

Start with small vehicles and proceed in small steps - don't try to go to the moons in your first flight

There are three game modes - start in Sandbox if you can cope with all the different parts, science mode otherwise. Only start with career if you like frustration (it has many more compex and difficult considerations)

Good first flights are i) Up!, ii) to space, iii) to orbit, iv) fly-by Mun, v) Land (and return from) Minmus - so the mission steps don't have to be that small!

It's easy to get to space, much harder to reach orbit - make sure you read about gravity turns and how to get to orbit

Planes and especially spaceplanes are a lot harder than rockets - get used to rocketry first

Rovers and bases are pretty useless - avoid them except for the fun of it

Space-stations can be fun - mostly useful for refuelling

Re-entry from space can cause your vehicles to burn-up in atmosphere - but at least parachuting down is an easy way to land

Rendezvousing two vehicles in orbit and then docking them will take a lot of practice - NASA had a hard time learning it too

Hello welcome to the forums.

I'd just add to what Starhawk said, as well as those very useful pages mentioned, I'd say you can also learn a lot just by reading what people post in the "General KSP Discussion Thread". Lots of smart cookies discussing useful concepts there.... also they often post pictures of their craft which can serve as great inspiration.

Finally I just note, a good piece of advice I can give is design you craft from the end of the mission to the start. What I mean by this is don't think Step 1, getting to orbit, step two transfer burn... etc. Step one should be (for a manned or returning craft) how do I get it to the ground safely, Step 2, how do deorbit it. Step 3 how to I get back into orbit around Kerbin.... etc.

Happy travels!! Edited by Tourist

Hey! I hope you really love this forum. I think its a (relatively) nice place, and if you're a test pilot and hate (not really) building stuffs like me, go ahead and go to the Spacecraft Exchange and load up! Also, as above, check out the Wiki for all those statistics that you need. Hope you have fun!
