we all love KSP right?

so what could be just as good as playing KSP? watching others fail at KSP ;P

I just wanted to create a nice little corner where us fans could post our stuff and you guys could find it.

so let me start off by posting my goodies, probably not as good as the stuff on the interwebs atm

CAUTION: foul language afoot here!!!

http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4897AB4A235A1966&feature=plcp

also would anyone be interesting in seeing a live stream? if i can build enough interest i\'ll most definatley do one... until then you guys get your stuff on here and lets fill up this thread

Delta V is change in velocity. Just FYI.

ahhhh i see, so if i understand you correct, that if an object travels at say 30m/s and then changes to 40m/s the delta-v would be the unit that describes the 10m/s difference? im not the smartest tool in the shed, but this stuff is quite interesting

I\'m not exactly an expert on this stuff either, but I do believe that is the case.

It\'s a useful metric because it can gauge engine capacity/efficiency (ie, how much fuel do I need to get this dv? or how much dv can I get out of this engine with this mass attached? How long do I need to burn my engine to get this dv?), and also it is related to orbital maneuvers (if I want to raise my apoapsis from 100km to 150km how much dv do I need?) and, by extension, injections (how much dv do I need for a TMI from 300km altitude?)

I have never used it, but as far as I have gathered it forms the basis for many of the calculations involved in spaceflight planning. This is of course because velocity necessarily has a direct impact upon trajectories.

Now, someone who really knows their stuff can come and correct me where I am wrong.

a livestream currently happening, check this guy out and the awsome craft he is making

http://www.twitch.tv/andyjfaulkner

Thankyou :D

Live streaming again now, current project:

Launch a plane into space and land on the runway.

Feel free to pop by to criticise and throw advice my way on why it\'s enevitably going horribly wrong!

I watched a little bit of it yesterday, and I have one tip for you.

Next time you are going in for a landing, don\'t go in at full throttle! ;)

Just switch your engines off and glide down. That\'s what I do, works a treat. Pull up and expose as much of your wingspan as possible to the oncoming air in order to slow down, and then dive a little to drop further toward the ground, then pull up again, then drop again etc... Works fine for me.

if your talking about the in-game sounds, turn both your engines and ambiance down to about 15%, for your mic you can right click your speaker in the bottom right and adjust the mic settings, i have mine boosted up to +30 as mine is pretty quite.

also get your link for you youtube on here 8) cnt watch them if you dnt post them

Calculations? :o

Planning?? >:(

I just boost up then sideways. If it doesn\'t work, add more boosters.

...On an unrelated note, there is a very high casualty rate for kerbinauts. Maybe that\'s why they never get life insurance.

Oh, yeah. I have never made calculations or planned my flights in advance either, but I know there are a number of members here who do so frequently.

I made a video for the second successful flight for my spacecraft, 'Spacey 3':

I made a topic about the first successful flight of Spacey 3, but it was only pictures. At least I was able to record it this time! -]

Made this way when 0.13 was the latest version:

Will probably wait until 0.16 comes out with the cool new features before making another one

Did they use that in the old preview video on the KSP Home page? It looks familiar

G\'day you scrawny lot, I\'ll be streaming today. As my microphone is currently 'non operantes', I\'m not using it. Instead, you\'ll be treated the Jeff Wayne\'s musical version of The War Of The Worlds.

It\'ll take me a couple of minutes to set this up after the stream starts, so bear with me for that time.

EDIT: Nope, sister is downloading porn again, so no stream.

Ah well, sorry guys.

OK so can I showcase my vids here then ?

There are five so far. Here they are in reverse chronology, newest at the top.

Three with music.

Two shots from Kerbin to the Mün and back by the same rocket.

Launching a big stock space station into orbit around the Mün.

Kerbol star orbit and back to Kerbin with a little ship.

Two without music.

Capsule retrieval from Münar orbit.

Early days mission to the Mün and back to Kerbin.
