Dealing with multiple missions

I like to do multiple "missions" but there is no "mission" concept in KSP. We only get "flights".

After several hour of game on a savegame, I get a LOT of flights, I my not want to remove

The left column is only a third of what I have, no counting flag (and I delete a lot of stuff).

Is there any way of dealing with "missions" to organize flight. Is there a mod that allow flights regrouping per mission ?

Thx

Kerbal Alarm Clock is at least a Little helpfull in that regard.

It shows you in a list when a craft will exit or enter an SOI and also manages Phase-Angles and Maneuver Nodes.

If you give your craft a Mission-Name, it should make life a little easier.

As mentioned, KAC is a big part of the solution.
Another part is naming your craft nicely.

Instead of having 99 crafts named "something Polar Probe", include the mission name and its purpose. For example, "Eve Mission - Transfer Tug" and "Dres Polar Ressource Scanner".

Each of my missions has TLA (three letter acronym) Joolean Exploratory Fleet (JEF) Jool 5 challenge (J5C) Munar Resource Survey (MRS) etc.

Then each ship uses the TLA as a prefix on its name:
JEF Megatanker One
JEF Tylo Station
J5C Challenger
MRS Orbiter II
MRS Rover 1.

It helps a little.

Flight list folders, colour codes, prefixes, or sticky notes would all be amazing for organizing missions. Specify old craft as "mission accomplished" once they fulfill their mission to remove clutter. Allow sorting... you may be on to something.

The quest list in Borderlands 2 does a great job of this, you can sort by starting level, location, etc. or mark ones you never intend to do so they get off your list. :)

I do the same, it's very helpful.

I'd love the ability to sort the list of active vessels:
• by name
• by type (and a few more types would be useful)
• by mass (and/or part count)
• by number of crew
• by time since launch
• by time until next planned maneuver (this one especially would be a lifesaver!)
• by nearest celestial body

It'd also be great if I could group vessels by "project"--f'r instance, a few versions ago I put a small science probe called "Wayfarer:[planet]" in orbit around each and every celestial body in the game. It would have been convenient to pull up a list of every vessel involved in the Wayfarer project.
