Jet Engine Take Off ?

Has any one other then me used jet engines as their first stage , it gets you to around 15,000M while using very little fuel. once the jet engines stop working you can start your rocket engines, consume whats left of the jet fuel, then pop them off.

Supposedly in a future update, that will not work, for multiple reasons.

First of all, there are rumors that jet fuel and rocket fuel will be separated, meaning that you can only use fuselage parts for jets, which carry significantly less fuel.

Secondly, Some of those jets are designed to be scram jets, but the functionality of them hasn\'t been quite added into the game yet. Scram jets can\'t even start at low speed; you would have to get your rocket going fast, and THEN start the scram jets.

I hope they DONT separate the parts. The word 'Space plane' Might as well be 'Plane'

I can hardly balance the weight to take off correctly. Or I have too MUCH weight and crash into the tower

Many historic cruise missiles have used hybrid jet and rocket propulsion systems. While you might have to have separate fuel stages for the different engine types in the future, I see no reason why such configurations wouldn\'t work.

I like using them as boosters. A single tank with a jet on the back makes a nice booster. I don\'t think it is as powerful as an SRB, but it does burn much longer.
