First of all I would like to say Hello! To everyone, as this is my first post. I bought KSP as of 2 days ago, and I thought I would upload my first actual creation, that I would deem 'Succesfull' myself. (At least.)

It\'s nothing serious, but it\'s fun to play around with. I know the rule \'No pics, no clicks.\' but I can\'t upload any pictures, in all honesty. I am playing on an emergency-solution laptop, and has a bunch of graphical errors. (Stretching textures, random glitchy 'holes' in objects.)

It\'s a Space plane, my first one. After messing around with rockets for a while in the demo, I bought the full game and saw you could build space planes. So I created this. Took me several hours. I think I sat from 22:00 one night untill 04:00 In the morning, where I was applauding myself for my glorious work. ;P

Anyway, it needs around 100 M/s in order to lift off, and has can easily reach 170-180 M/s in air. However, it\'s a pain in the butt to land, and I suggest you are pretty careful at that.

Tell me what you think, opinions, tips for modifying it etc.

How is it? If you automaticly thinks female nipples, then sure. But it was never intended to be inappropiate, only a joking name. I guess I can censor the thread name, but I wont go through renaming the plane and re-uploading.

Don\'t worry, man! It\'s fine, for me. Other people may just not like it.

KuddlingKiwi. I\'ve disabled your attachment for the time being, please reupload it with a proper name and i will rename the thread/messages accordingly.

The reason is due to the PG-13 policy on words referring to sexual themes.

If you refuse to rename the craft, the thread will expire.

You will if you want to remain a member of this community. Your post and rocket name clearly violate the no vulgar names rules. We have to keep these forums G rated as children frequent here.

Cheers!

Right. I will rename it later tonight and re-upload it. I don\'t have the chance to do it now, as the computer is being used, and I only got the chance to just check and write this.

More opinions on would could be improved would be very appreciated.

Also, I wanted to add the most powerful jet engine on it, the spike jet. But it just drains fuel WAAY to fast. Any ideas on how I can do this without totally re-arranging the plane and making it six times larger?

The spike engine is actually a rocket, and it\'ll stop working with jet fuel when the current parts are balanced, not sure when that\'ll be though, so if you go for that engine it\'ll need a full rebuild to future proof it.

But if you want to get up into space you\'ll need it :)

I see then. :)

Any idea how to reduce the wobble the plane does when you stop turning? it starts wobbling up and down/side to side when you let go of the button, is there any way to totally get rid of this effect, or at least reduce it as much as possible? Aswell as the tail rudders. (My english isn\'t that good, but I\'ll make an attempt.) When yawing with my plane, it starts turning around and just spazzing it. Again, any idea how to correct this so you can have a more precise landing, for an example?

Well I can only speak of my own planes (I didn\'t get a chance to download yours) but the yaw problem is due to the airflow over the rudder trying to push you straight again when you ease off, you can alleviate that somewhat by holding some rudder until the yellow marker on the navball catches up to you.

I found with some of my planes, that if there is too much weight at the rear, especially when you have used the front fuel tanks, the plane will try to fly back to front, it\'ll start tumbling and cannot be stopped if things are really bad, you can get around this by having wings further rearwards and by turning off the front tanks fuel flow, keeping weight at the front of the plane.

I see, I will attempt to work at that then.

I re-uploaded the file under a new name, so those who didn\'t get the chance to download and fly it, can do it now.

Also, if you modify it by any kind, feel free to upload it here and state what you have changed. You can with it whatever you want, just make sure that if you decide to upload it to the forum, to do it here. :D

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
