Can't launch - libGLU error

Recommended Posts

Hello. I'm trying to launch KSP on my laptop which has Arch Linux installed. When I launch from Steam, it instantly crashes. When I launch from a terminal, it gives this error:

./KSP.x86_64: error while loading shared libraries: LibGLU.so.1: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory

I have mesa, lib32-mesa-libgl and xf86-video-intel installed, but it persists.

I had this problem on my desktop, but reinstalling KSP fixed it (Though it installed it to my HDD instead of SSD for some reason). I've reinstalled 3 times on this laptop, to no avail.

It has worked on this laptop before (1.0.4), but downgrading still causes this issue.

omething? My desktop has libglu.so and libglu.so.1 in /lib, but my laptop does not. What could I be missing?

Any ideas on what I should do?

EDIT: Installing lib32-glu fixed it. Steam doesn't want to work, but I can launch it through a terminal.

Hi Zekario, yeah you'd need libGLU, I'm glad you figured it out.

As for Steam, it can be trying to use an old file, please see here for details.
