[1.3.1] Pood's OPM-VO (Outer Planets Mod - Visual Overhaul) [v0.3.5] [2017-09-23]

Short answer, no.

Long answer, this mod is just a bunch of configs and textures. If you feel that this mod has stopped functionality in your install, the only thing it could be is the bundled MiniAVC.dll file that was was widely distributed back in the times of KSP 1.3. Either, delete the file from your install (GameData/PoodsOPMVO/MiniAVC.dll) or download and install the mod Zero MiniAVC and give that a try.

You're using a mod that is listed as compatible/to be used with KSP 1.3.1 in an install of KSP 1.12.5. It might be a dependency of the mod Outer Planets Mod Volumetric Clouds but this is more so an issue for the creator of that mod to highlight any issues with installing this mod in an instance of KSP 1.12.5.

@OneSaltyPringle I'm getting a MM error when using your POODSOPMVO-Patch.cfg but if I change it to what Poodmund wrote for the config the error goes away.  Error reads: more than one pass specifier detected, ignoring all but the first: OPMVolumetricClouds/Patches/PoodsOPMVO-Patch/@EVE_CLOUDS:BEFORE[OPMVolumetricClouds]:AFTER[PoodsOPMVO]

Having the same warnings in my MM logs.

"[WRN 13:51:19.824] 1 warning related to GameData/OPMVolumetricClouds/Patches/PoodsOPMVO-Patch.cfg"

Not sure if this should be ignored, but I am certainly curious as to what is causing it. :)

I'm guessing it's related more to
OneSaltyPringle's Outer Planets Mod - Volumetric Clouds mod? I am using the Blackrack's EVE-Redux too.

Whenever I try to install OPMVO it causes all of the atmospheric scattering to vanish. Is there any way to fix that?

Here's the log file that appears from just trying to load the main menu if it helps at all

What is your scatterer version ? Since scatterer had some major changes in version 0.8xx I think, most visual packs stopped working. There are workarounds though.

It is, that MM patch in OneSaltyPringle's mod is invalid. You cannot have a BEFORE and an AFTER declaration in a patch.

@Poodmund I am also getting this same MM warning related to PoodsOPMVO-Patch.cfg as confirmed in my MM log. Is there a working config floating around for it? If not fixed, what effects would you expect that to have?

I got it to work by changing all of the "AFTER[PoodsOPMVO]" in PoodsOPMVO-Patch.cfg to "BEFORE[OPMVolumetricClouds]". I had initially changed it to what Poodmund posted earlier which didn't give any errors, but caused none of the clouds to show up.

I was working on a patched version of this for personal usage as part of a larger project to create Scatterer and EVE configs for Minor Planets Expansion and I found a bug in this mod that doesn’t seem to be documented, as well as a different issue I found a workaround for.

In clouds.cfg, the Wisp layer for Thatmo tries to use a texture from StockVisualEnhancements whether that mod is loaded or not, causing the effect to be invisible. Changing the path to point to an equivalent texture actually in this mod (literally just replace StockVisualEnhancements with PoodsOPMVO) makes the Wisp layer visible and it looks a lot better.

I also noticed that this mod seems to overwrite EVE configs from other mods, trying to run it with SciFiVisualEnhancements (for the stock planets) resulted in no change to the stock system, until I renamed this mod’s path to ZPoodsOPMVO (and changed all of the texture paths in the files.), doing that causes this mod to load last and allow other EVE configs to load before it.

I think I might release a patch for this mod that can just be dropped into GameData once this mod is installed, all the textures and everything would stay the same but the config files would be replaced with my updated versions, would that be okay?
