Docking Issues

Hey,

i have been experiencing problems while docking. I used mechjeb2 to get the docking real close. However when i get the two clampotrons next to each other they dont magnetically pull each other in and dock. Anything i am doing wrong?

actually never mind i had to deselect the docking button for mechjeb 2 for it to magnetize.

Weird. I play stock, i never have this problem. I don't think you have to select the port as target, etc. so maybe there's a mod thing at work?

This can sometimes happen. One or both of the docking ports think that they are in a different state than they should be (like already connected). You will probably have to correct them manually.

Go to your persistent.sfs file (KSP/saves/name_of_the_save/persistent.sfs), open in text editor, find the vessels in question, find the docking port parts and check whether they are "state = Ready" under the MODULE section. If they are not, change them to "state = Ready", save, and reload your game. Should ifx the issue, just be careful as to not change the state of a different docking port (seems like you have at least 2 of them... all of the not connected ones should be state = Ready).
