Do the intace parts actualy do anything?

im really confused, im talking about the ram and turbine intake parts added in .15

also, if they did do anything, how would it work? do they need to be attached specifically? or does it work vertical, lets say, if i attached TWO fuel tanks together, then a jet on the back, and a ram intake on the front. you know?

The jet intakes are intended to be used with air-breathing engines. The functionality is not yet fully implemented, so for now, they are just cosmetic and you can use jet engines without them.

Ive heard that they do nothing, really they are just for making a good jet engine look, like the engine at the back, naccle in the middle, and the fan at the front= instant jet engine!

They will eventually function, so it is best to design with them. Or else your jets may not function in future updates

Don\'t they add a bit of airflow to the engines, the little round intakes working better at low alts and the bigger square one at high alts?

I\'m pretty sure that\'s the behavior I noticed, when right-clicking on the motor part during flight. It does not seem to matter where you put the intakes. I didn\'t try putting them backward yet though. ???
