Wigw2
Can anyone recommend a good landing space on the mun, By either coords or a description of the view from orbit? I\'ve landed dozens of ships on minmus, I\'ve actually RCS\'d two ships within docking distance on the ice lakes, But I\'ve never even managed a simple landing on the mun. Guest
Try landing in one of those big craters. They tend to be flat.

sal_vager
Hi guys, try to avoid quoting the post immediately above your own, it\'s good forum conduct and helps keep the place tidy
maltesh
Another option (assuming you haven\'t already done so) might be to redesign your lander to be more tolerant of slopes. When I throw a stock lander at the Mun for an arbitrary landing, I usually use something like this:I\'ve tipped it on some of the ridiculous canyon slopes, and in the chaotic polar terrain, but for general Munlanding it\'s quite stable on most slopes. Endeavour
The big dark Marias are usually flat if you avoid the giant hills that can be seen from orbit.
sss
Usually the Big not not the small craters are good.if all else fails, mechjeb. it\'ll get your rocket down even when the surface insnt flat!
