Pterodactyl Dyna-Soar inspired mini shuttle

This is a mini space shuttle designed for small satellites. The orbiter is loosely based on the Boeing X-20 Dyna- Soar which was designed to serve as a reusable space bomber for the US air force. Both the shuttle and external tank are designed to be fully reusable.

The shuttle has a small cargo bay made out of airbrakes.

Once the external tank has run out of fuel wait until you are out of the atmosphere stage and then get the shuttle into a stable orbit. Once the shuttle is in a stable orbit change focus to the booster and eject the fairing. Once the fairing has been ejected deploy the airbrakes and the landing gear point retrograde. To avoid overheating you need to make the booster spin using the roll control, open the parachutes when possible and when 20m above the surface slow down with the solid rockets.

To land the shuttle fly like you would most spaceplanes and keep the nose out of the air flow by going sideways to the airflow. The action groups are in the craft description.

Thanks for looking.

@castille7 Thanks, I am glad you like it. The first time I tried to re-enter the atmosphere without turning the side of the wings into the airflow the cockpit temperature was critical. I hope you can get your shuttle to re-enter properly.
